- I am 90 this year and would like a chance to celebrate more than 65 years as Boy, Officer and Supporter of the Boy's Brigade. To this purpose I am inviting all ex members and friends of the 1st Penarth Company of the Boy's Brigade to a gathering and buffet lunch at Albert Road Methodist Church, Penarth on Sunday, 27th May at 10.30 am with the Rev. - In early September, Crossway will be celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. We will be providing fuller details of all the different events and services we plan to hold later. On both Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September, you will be welcome to join us for an exhibition of documents and photographs, whilst on Sunday 2nd September, there will be celebratory services both morning and evening. We are going UK-wide on Saturdays from 10.30am to 4.30pm with the choice of 11 highly practical workshops.
Your church will get new ideas, strategies, skills and resources to help them well beyond 2012.

The full-day sessions are on Running Community Festivals, Using Sport to Impact Every Age-group and Being a Games Pastor. And electives are on Reaching Children and Youth, the Torch Relay and Your Community, Prayer, Using International Mission Teams, Mission Through the Paralympics and Games-related Social Justice.
The dates and locations for 'Get Set' are February: 4th Crawley, 25th Reading, 25th Cardiff, March: 3rd Stoke ,3rd Bath, 10th Wolverhampton, 10th Central London, 17th Greenwich, 17th Gateshead, 24th Barnsley, 24th Weymouth, 31st Bolton, 31st East London, April: 21st Glasgow, 21st Stevenage, 28th Belfast, 28th Nottingham.
The cost of the day is only £10 per person, with advance registration encouraged to secure your choice of workshops.
